In a baking pan about 11" x 11" or so, pour in 2 cans of tomato soup and a can of peas (strain first). Mix well. Cook potatoes - we usually use about 5 medium potatoes. Brown about a pound of hamburger. Drain, then mix it in with the soup and peas. When the potatoes are done, mash them. I like to add about a half stick of butter and about 1/4 cup of milk. Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the tomato soup mixture. Try to cover the entire pan. Now, turn the oven to 350 degrees and place the pan in the center. Bake for about 20 minutes. Now turn the oven to 450 degrees for about 5 minutes. This puts a nice crust on the potatoes. Macaroni offers you a way to make many cheap recipes. Here's a good one.
